Dear Friends,
As we continue an exciting new academic year, I invite all Round Rock staff, faculty, and special guests to the inaugural State of Round Rock Campus event on September 25 at 10 a.m. in the St. David’s School of Nursing Teaching Theater. I ask that you RSVP to attend the event.
Much like our annual State of TXST event in San Marcos, this will have a special 125th anniversary theme. I will highlight some of our recent accomplishments, share my vision for the upcoming year, and moderate a panel discussion with members of the President’s Cabinet on future initiatives that support opportunities for continued growth, innovation, and impact. You can also send a question or comment for consideration to be addressed during the event.
I am requesting that all faculty and staff members on the Round Rock Campus attend the event if they are able. University offices that must stay open to serve students may use skeleton crews to remain open. All other offices can close between 9:45 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Join me in the Nursing lobby at 9:30 a.m. for coffee followed by my State of Round Rock Campus presentation at 10 a.m. in the Nursing Teaching Theater.
Shortly after the event, I hope you will attend the third annual RRC Cookout. Join us for an afternoon of good food from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. with yard games and socializing from 12-12:30 p.m. out in the RRC Quad. This is a come-and-go event to allow you to attend as your schedule permits. The first 100 attendees will get a free TXST RRC T-shirt! Watch for a reminder evite in your TXST email.
We have so much to celebrate as we mark TXST’s 125 years and continue to build a legacy for tomorrow together. I look forward to sharing some exciting news and accomplishments with you.
Sincerely,
Kelly Damphousse
President
