Another Step Closer to Your Big JUMP

The river jump at graduation is an iconic TXST tradition. It is a celebration of the work and dedication it takes to earn your degree. Every day of your college journey, you are moving closer to that joyful, proud moment. However you choose to celebrate, we are here to help you reach that milestone. Each month, I will share resources and tips in “The Jump,” my new newsletter for students. I hope it brings you encouragement and reminds you of the support and programs at TXST designed to help you thrive.

Counseling Center here to help

“Remember, the stress of finals week is temporary,” shares Dr. Richard Martinez at the TXST Counseling Center. Learn about the center’s self-help programs.

Study Tip: Think about the WHY

TXST researchers studied students’ motivation and performance in class and found when you reflect on the importance and potential value of what you are learning, you are more likely to perform better on exams.

Sincerely,
President Kelly Damphousse
