Can you believe we are already at the halfway point of the Fall semester? I wanted to take some time to check in on you and to share information about the many resources available to you at TXST.

Things You Can Do in October

Here are just a few of the ways you can get involved with other Bobcats, learn something new, and have some fun. Dropping in on TXST events is one of my favorite things to do. I hope to see you at one of these, or several others planned throughout October!

• UPD's Self-Defense Class, October 11
• Attend a Bobcat Kindle with KDamp, October 18
• Education Abroad Fair, October 19
• National Transfer Student Week, October 16-20
• TXST Volleyball Dig Pink Game, October 21 
• Homecoming Week, October 22-28
• Vote. The Rest is Just Noise. Early Voting Begins October 23

Homecoming Events

Homecoming Week 2023 is one of the best ways to experience TXST’s traditions and make some new memories. Come show your Bobcat spirit at TXST's Got Talent, the Soap Box Derby, and the Thursday Night Lights Homecoming Spirit Parade and the Spirit Pep Rally. Don't forget to wear your maroon and gold at the football game on Saturday, October 28.

I'm so glad you are here at TXST and very proud of what you are accomplishing. I hope you are too. Please know the TXST faculty, staff, and I are here to support you, and to help you find the resources you need to finish strong. Our goal is to make sure you achieve your goals – and make that celebratory jump in the river when you graduate from TXST.
